Valerio Rivellini Reveals Velar 70 Motor Yacht Concept
Superyacht designer Valerio Rivellini has revealed a 21.5-metre motor yacht concept named the Velar 70.
With a “minimal and functional design”, the Velar 70 features “generous exteriors” and typically sailing yacht features, such as a large, round helm.
The hull and superstructure can be built from a number of materials meanwhile including fibreglass, carbon fibre, steel and aluminium depending on the owner’s request.
Rivellini described the yacht as a “leisurely, low-cost displacement cruising solution”.
“Velar 70 fits for those who love experiencing the sea in many different ways, switching from leisurely cocktails on board, to relaxing moment,” he said.
Accommodation on board is for a total of eight guests in four cabins, comprising a VIP cabin forward, owner’s suite with a living room and two double guest cabins. All are “roomy and comfortable”, Rivellini said, and suitable for long stays on board.
Power will come from a pair of Volvo Penta IPS 650 engines for a top speed of 16 knots.
